Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

A few years ago, we took our children to the fair. We had just spent the last 3 weeks in the hospital with one of our daughters who had bacterial meningitis. Times were tough, so our children had truly become appreciative and grateful, and they still are to this day. As we were getting ready to leave, one of our other daughters looked up at my sister-in-law with her big brown eyes and said, “I feel rich! I have everything I want! Jesus, cotton candy, a new hat and my family!” I Timothy 6:6 tells us that “godliness with contentment is great gain.” What about you today? Do you feel rich? The poorest person is not the one without money; it is the one without Jesus. He is the only one who can truly satisfy. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? “O taste and see that the Lord is good.” Psalm 34:8
