This is what River of Life is About!

We want to provide 5 opportunities for each person to be involved each week and an opportunity each month to love on our community!

Sunday Service

Join us Sunday mornings at 10:30 am for Hispanic or English worship service and the Word.  Sunday mornings at River of Life are a huge deal and our hope is for each person to experience the presence of God in a fresh and new way every single week through corporate worship.  It's a time of celebration each week as we reflect on the goodness of God and who He is.  We want each person who comes to a Sunday service to hear the life giving message of the gospel and to be offered the free gift of salvation so that they can truly know the God of the universe through His son Jesus Christ. Our pastor brings a message each week that will help us to grow closer to God.

People are welcomed from all types of backgrounds and cultures. While some come dressed casual others may dress traditionally in a suite so come as you are! Service is usually over 12:00 so you can get to lunch, but occasionally, as the Holy Spirit moves in our services, they may hold over. If for any reason you need to slip out, that's no problem.

River Kids (K5 - 5th Grade) meet every Sunday morning at 10:30 during worship.  We also have nursery for babies and pre-schoolers.

Small Groups

We believe that life change happens in circles and not rows…you can come to church every Sunday and come down to these alters and leave changed but it's through the small groups where lasting relationships are formed and accountability in our spiritual lives become reality.  Small groups happen in the spring and fall and are about 11-13 weeks each.  Each semester, you will have an opportunity to  join a group which allows you to ether start a new group or join the same one. You may want to join multiple groups and that’s ok too! If you're new, our Next Steps team can help plug you in to a group that works best for you at any time during a semester.  Groups meet at different times and days so that everyone has an opportunity to be a part of something.  By joining a group, you're not making a commitment for the rest of your life….it’s just 12 weeks that we believe will change your life in a great way. And who knows, you may develop relationships that will last a lifetime.

What about the youth and kids you ask?

During River Kids Sunday morning services, they break out into smaller group circles so that they too, can learn the importance of relationships and communicating with each other.

Every Wednesday night at 7 pm, River Kids (K5-5th Grade) and Students (6th - 12th) worship together, hear the Word of God and then they break into small group circles based on their age and gender so that relationships are formed and freedom can be found. Additionally, we have several other groups for kids and students and they can join some of our other groups that are geared towards any age such as Fresh Start for example.

It’s our mission and our goal to equip each person to be the church wherever they are, on their jobs, in the schools, even at the supermarket. We look forward to student led small groups forming in the future small group semesters!

Growth Track

Growth Track takes place on Sunday nights at 6:00 and is open to anyone who is new to River of Life, newly saved, or who may just need to re-focus on discovering more about themselves. So many great things have come from Growth Track over the years and people have discovered spiritual gifts and abilities that they didn’t even realize that they have and are now making a difference using those gifts and actively serving here in the church and in their daily careers.  It’s been amazing to see people’s lives changed through Growth Track. Dinner and childcare is provided so be sure to sign up in advance so we can be prepared for you.

  • Week one will be all about learning more about our church, what we believe, and we’ll talk about membership and how you can get involved.
  • Week two is all about discovering your purpose. It’s a fun session and you will have an opportunity to take a personality and spiritual gifts assessment to uncover some things about yourself that you may or may not even know.
  • Week three is about how you can use those gifts to make a difference in your daily life and in the church.  You'll also have an opportunity to really get to know our Impact Teams and get plugged into serving at River of Life.

Use Your Gifts

Our core values are to Love God and to Love People and to Serve with Joy and to serve with Excellence. There are opportunities for each person that has joined a team to use and to develop their gifts.  If you serve on the worship team, you may practice on a weekly basis.  This is part of ministry.  This is your service to the Lord.  You may be serving on the creative team and you may be serving the Lord through editing videos that will be sent out to people in their homes all over the world.  You may be on the welcome team and they may get together on a monthly basis to build each other up over an evening of fun.  If you're serving on an Impact Team, be sure to use our Church Center app so that your Impact Team leader can keep you up to date on these types of meetings.

"My house shall be called the house of prayer..." ~ Matthew 21:14

We want to invite you to join us for prayer service the first 3 Saturdays of the month from 10am - 11am as we believe God for the impossible. As we seek His face and pray over our Sunday services and our church body, we believe that He is going to continue doing great things in and through River of Life and in our community.  These services will be on the screen as we stream them into our sanctuary so that our leaders can also have a fresh opportunity to be poured into each week. We know that these prayer services will be a huge blessing to you.

Last Saturday of Each Month - Community Food Outreach

This is an opportunity that is open to everyone! Join us the last Saturday of every month at 8 am as we package up food boxes for our community.  While we're packing the boxes, they will be experiencing a worship service in our sanctuary and being offered the eternal gift of salvation and a life of hope through Jesus Christ.  After their service, we'll serve the boxes we packaged as they drive through and pick them up.  This is a great way to allow God to use you to be a blessing in the community.
