When Jesus tells us that He is The Bread of Life, He is using a metaphor to teach us something important about Himself.

The showbread in the Tabernacle and even the table it sat on pointed to Christ.

Jesus is the Bread of life.

The Bread of Life is available to all who believe.

The Bread of Life sustains us.

The Bread of Life is our only source of eternal life.

In order to receive eternal life, you’ve got to eat the bread.
